The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is hosting a Proposers' Day for the Systematic Targeting Of MicroPlastics (STOMP) program. The program aims to develop reliable measurement tools for microplastics in biological samples, understand the mechanisms of harm, and ultimately improve human health by developing means to limit uptake and remove microplastics from the body. The Proposers' Day will include an optional poster session, teaming profiles, and a live Q&A session. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate in the brainstorming session for TA3.
• The STOMP program has three technical areas: TA1 (Measurement), TA2 (Understanding), and TA3 (Removal).
• TA1 will develop reliable measurement tools for microplastics in biological samples.
• TA2 will understand the mechanisms of harm and identify the most toxic microplastics.
• TA3 will develop methods to remove toxic microplastics from the human body.
