CDBG Residential Program Inspector

The State of Connecticut’s Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking a qualified inspector to oversee the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Residential Rehabilitation Program. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring that residential construction and rehabilitation projects funded under the CDBG meet all applicable building codes, grant requirements, and quality standards. This role involves field inspections, documentation, reporting, and coordination with contractors, grant recipients, and municipal officials. • Perform on‑site inspections of single‑family and multi‑family residential rehabilitation projects. • Verify compliance with CDBG guidelines, local building codes, and contract specifications. • Prepare detailed inspection reports, photographs, and compliance checklists. • Communicate findings to the Purchasing Department and recommend corrective actions. • Maintain accurate records and support audit processes for grant funding. • May require occasional travel to project sites throughout the state of Connecticut.
