Description
The Guilford Technical Community College is seeking a design team to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Emergency Responder Training Center Building (ERTC #1) located at 5900 Stanford Road, Jamestown, NC. The building provides a simulated environment for Fire Academy trainees to experience smoke and heat while traversing the inside of a built environment. The selected design team will be required to use the various reports developed by SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc., as the basis of design for the remediation of this structure. The team will develop the bid documents, manage the bid process, and provide construction administration and inspection services for the work required to repair the building for ongoing use as a fire training facility.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Rehabilitation of the ERTC #1 building
• Repair of damaged concrete slabs and rebuilding
• Installation of new waterproofing systems
