Description

The Mental Health Service Professional (MHSP) Demonstration Grant Program provides competitive grants to State educational agencies (SEAs) and local educational agencies (LEAs) to address the shortage of credentialed school-based mental health services providers, specifically school psychologists, in high-need LEAs. The program aims to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the Exchange's marketing programs and the mission to support the Army's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs. • The program provides grants to SEAs and LEAs to increase the number of credentialed school-based mental health services providers. • The program focuses on high-need LEAs, which are defined as LEAs with a high percentage of students from low-income families. • The program aims to improve the mental health services provided to students in high-need LEAs. • The program requires grantees to submit annual performance reports and a final performance report at the end of the project period.
