Cessation/Tobacco Community Outreach (MS Delta River Region)

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) for the Cessation/Tobacco Community Outreach (MS Delta River Region) project. The goal of this project is to reduce tobacco-related disparities among African American males, ages twelve and older, in the Mississippi Delta River Region. The project aims to build trust and engage local stakeholders as equal partners in prevention, cessation, and advocacy efforts. The successful applicant will implement various activities, including conducting monthly meetings with the Men's Black Health Equity Task Force, delivering educational sessions, and disseminating educational resources. Some key requirements and activities include: • Conducting 12 monthly meetings with the Men's Black Health Equity Task Force • Delivering 12 monthly outreach activities • Conducting 12 stakeholder meetings • Conducting 4 community outreach events • Identifying and engaging with a minimum of 5 community stakeholders • Disseminating educational resources once per month • Providing 4 educational events and/or sessions to raise awareness and change behavior • Conducting 2 capacity-building educational/training sessions
