Workforce Data System (WDS) Development

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing Workforce Data System (WDS) Development. The WDS is a secure, Salesforce-based cloud application necessary for the CHIPS Program Office to administer workforce awards and minimize fraud risk. The system is needed to establish the intended purpose of each disbursement of workforce funds and provide a practical means to collect performance data to verify intended purposes are carried out. • The WDS is approximately 88% complete, and the remaining 12% needs to be completed within 60 days of award. • The application's architecture, source code, and proprietary components are owned and maintained by Boston Consulting Group (BCG). • The Government intends to issue a Sole Source Award to BCG under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) if no alternate sources are identified. • The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541512. • The Department of Commerce (DOC) CHIPS Program Office has committed roughly $300 million to recipient-companies to ensure they have the workers they need to meet their production obligations.
