Description
The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) is seeking a Senior Database Management Specialist to design, develop, optimize, administer, govern, and maintain complex databases and provide various database operational support services. The ideal candidate will have experience in database architecture and design, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. They will also have experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL complex queries, as well as experience with cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The candidate will be responsible for monitoring database performance, troubleshooting errors, and debugging, as well as developing standards and data scripts to monitor and alert various cloud-based systems and applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex enterprise databases, data lakes, and data warehouses
• Design complex database architecture, including data modeling, database schema design, and database security
• Develop standards and data scripts to monitor and alert various cloud-based systems and applications
• Collaborate and consult with applications, infrastructure, and system operations teams to help automate the end-to-end operations of applications and systems in AWS Cloud
• Perform tasks ensuring data quality and governance, including creating data validation rules, data quality checks, and metadata management
