Description
The Evesham Township School District is seeking a qualified, independent contractor to provide comprehensive student transportation services for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The contract covers route operation, vehicle provisioning, driver and aide staffing, office and garage facilities, and strict safety, reporting, and insurance requirements.
• Operate all designated school‑bus routes, including pick‑up/drop‑off of public and private‑school students, staff, and aides, with no commingling unless formally approved.
• Provide school‑bus‑type vehicles equipped with two‑way radios, GPS, surveillance cameras, route signage, and “No Smoking” placards; vehicles must be inspected twice yearly.
• Staff each bus with qualified CDL drivers and aides who meet background‑check, health, and training standards; maintain a physical office and garage within 12 mi of the district office.
• Submit required insurance (minimum $5 M limits) and bonds (5 % bid guarantee ≤ $50 k; performance bond equal to the full contract amount).
• Adhere to reporting protocols for accidents, unattended‑student incidents, and monthly invoicing; penalties apply for tardiness or route non‑operation.
