Demand Response Software Replacement

WeGo Public Transit is seeking a vendor to replace its current Demand Response software system with a new, integrated platform that supports advance, same-day, and on-demand trip management, multi-provider service delivery, real-time operational control, and improved rider experience. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing the software and supporting WeGo through implementation, training, and post-implementation support. Key features of the new system include: • Advance, same-day, and on-demand trip management • Multi-provider service delivery • Real-time operational control • Improved rider experience and transparency • Increased productivity and efficiency • Long-term scalability to support evolving mobility services • Integration with third-party providers and transportation network companies (TNCs) • Passenger-facing application for eligible riders to interact with the system The contract will be for a term of five years with five one-year options. Some of the key responsibilities of the vendor include: • Delivering a complete, production-ready solution, including all software, configuration, integrations, data migration, documentation, training, and services necessary to support WeGo's Access and demand response operations • Configuring the system to reflect WeGo policies, service rules, eligibility constraints, and operational practices • Ensuring all required functionality is available at go-live without reliance on post-implementation custom development • Providing modern, secure, and scalable system architecture capable of supporting WeGo's current operations and future mobility initiatives • Supporting data exchange for reservations, scheduling, dispatch, eligibility, trip execution, reporting, and auditing • Ensuring system configurations support multi-provider operations and future expansion • Coordinating closely with WeGO IT staff to align security, access control, data governance, and hosting requirements The evaluation criteria for this RFP include: • Technical merit, including project approach, team and key personnel qualifications • Cost • Experience and qualifications of the vendor • Ability to meet the requirements and deliverables outlined in the RFP • Quality of the proposal, including completeness, clarity, and responsiveness to the RFP requirements
