Description
The Charlottesville‑Albemarle Airport Authority seeks qualified contractors to replace and upgrade its central HVAC chill‑water plant. The scope includes demolition of the existing water‑cooled centrifugal chiller and related equipment, installation of a new air‑cooled chiller, replacement of chilled‑water circulating pumps, air separator, expansion tank, and other hydronic accessories, as well as necessary piping and electrical modifications. This project will modernize the terminal’s cooling system, improve energy efficiency, and restore full operational capacity.
• Remove and dispose of existing water‑cooled centrifugal chiller and cooling‑tower equipment.
• Install new air‑cooled chiller, associated pumps, air separator, expansion tank, and hydronic accessories.
• Perform hydronic piping modifications and electrical system upgrades to support the new equipment.
• Provide testing, commissioning, and documentation of the complete system.
