Description
The City of Colonial Heights is seeking a contractor to install a splash pad at Flora Hill Park. The contractor will be responsible for site excavation, site work, sub-base, stone sub-base, installation of the splash pad equipment, concrete work, plumbing, start-up training, and winterization training. The City will provide the water line, sewer line, and electrical lines, as well as the equipment necessary for the splash pad. The project must be completed within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed.
Key features of the project include:
• Installation of a splash pad with various water play features
• Construction of a concrete pad with required expansion joints and saw-cut control joints
• Installation of underground plumbing and mechanical components
• Provision of start-up and winterization training
The contractor must comply with all applicable codes and ordinances, including the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code. The contractor must also provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each for 100% of the contract amount.
