Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN) is seeking information on qualified and experienced sources for planning purposes to derive one contract to provide maintenance to optics systems in support of meteorological and oceanographic operations globally. The contractor shall calibrate and repair all component's electronic and mechanical functions for serviceability to factory standards of Optic Systems used in the shipboard environment for over-the-side physical oceanography collection operations or deployed sensor operations. Some of the key tasks include:
• Calibration and repair of optic system sensors and equipment
• Inspection, repair, and replacement of instruments and systems
• Non-routine calibration and repairs
• Instrument cabling inspection, repair, and/or replacement
• Winch systems inspection, repair, and/or replacement
• Remote/port side support for any equipment going out to sea for operations of collecting physical oceanography data.
