Description
The Needham Public Schools invite sealed bid proposals for School Bus Transportation Services. The contract will cover a three-year period beginning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, with two optional extensions through June 30, 2031. The services include transportation of public school and parochial students, late buses, transportation between schools, and educational trips. The successful bidder will be required to obtain and maintain general liability, motor vehicle, and Workmen's Compensation insurance.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing all necessary services, including transportation equipment, maintenance, operation, cleaning, supervision, inspection, registration, licensing, and insurance
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Providing drivers who meet the prevailing wage rate and are trained to operate buses safely
• Maintaining accurate records of head counts and time checks
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times
