Crossing Guard Services

The Fontana Unified School District is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide crossing guard services at designated school crossing locations. The selected firm will be responsible for providing trained crossing guards, ensuring safety and security for students and community members, and maintaining flexibility to accommodate schedule anomalies. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option for renewal. The district is looking for a firm with experience in delivering crossing guard programs, emphasizing safety as the highest priority, and reflecting the district's mission, vision, and commitment to equity and community well-being. Some key requirements include: • Providing fully trained and qualified crossing guards at designated school crossing locations • Ensuring crossing guards are present at their assigned locations during specified periods • Adjusting crossing guard schedules to accommodate minimum days, special events, and other schedule changes • Providing crossing guard services for approximately 180 school days per academic year • Maintaining flexibility to accommodate schedule anomalies • Providing comprehensive initial training to all crossing guards • Providing refresher training at least quarterly throughout the academic year • Maintaining detailed records of all incidents and making them available to the district upon request • Participating in monthly performance review meetings with district representatives
