The City of Mountain View is soliciting bids from qualified firms to fabricate and deliver the City's pedestrian wayfinding signage package, including marquee panels, directional blade signs, plan map signs, and parking lot signage. The scope of work includes prototype fabrication, production fabrication, hardware and packaging, delivery, and warranty and quality assurance. The City requires a minimum one-year warranty from the date of delivery covering fabrication defects, finish/paint/vinyl adhesion, and materials workmanship. Key considerations for bidders include compliance with design intent, dimensions, materials, finishes, colors, attachment interfaces, and sign schedules shown in the City's design package.
Some of the key features of the signage package include:
* Marquee panels: waterjet cut 0.25” aluminum, multi-color painted, cleaned/polished edges, anti-graffiti coating, and panel “ears”/drilled/tapped as indicated for bracket interface.
* Directional blade signs: 0.125” aluminum, painted (CMV Blue/Green) with white vinyl legend, patterned backs, concealed fastener/adhesive interface, and anti-graffiti coating.
* Plan map signs: 0.25” aluminum with dye-sublimation digital print (or high-pressure laminate), rounded corners, anti-graffiti coating, and rear studs/bolt pattern to mate with City’s wing brackets.
* Parking lot signs: 0.125” aluminum, painted CMV Blue with white vinyl, rounded corners, and anti-graffiti coating.
The City prefers a proposal with a single or primary vendor, but if a multi-vendor or subcontracted approach is proposed, the bidder must clearly identify the responsibilities of each party and the assurances of performance being offered.
