Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a qualified contractor to remove and replace dock plates and associated concrete/structural elements at Buildings 14 and 15 of the Salem VA Medical Center. Work includes demolition, concrete placement, retaining wall construction, handrail extension, installation of new hydraulic pit leveler, dock bumpers, and related site preparation, all performed under VA, local building code, and OSHA requirements. The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price award with a 120‑day performance period.
• Remove existing dock plates, asphalt, and curb; construct new retaining wall, curb, and concrete drive at Building 14.
• Demolish existing pit leveler, install new hydraulic pit leveler, concrete slab, and associated structural work at Building 15.
• Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision; coordinate schedule with VA engineering services and give 48‑hour notice before any disruptive activity.
