The Parish of Jefferson seeks qualified veterinary firms to provide 24‑hour supplemental emergency veterinary care on an as‑needed basis for the Jefferson Parish Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS). The contract will be awarded to a firm that can demonstrate licensed veterinary expertise, emergency response capability, and local presence. • Minimum requirement: at least one Louisiana‑licensed DVM on staff. • Services include after‑hours emergency care, overflow support when JPAWS lacks on‑site coverage, and critical care diagnostics. • Evaluation based on experience, staffing size, professional training, capacity, local office location, and past performance; total possible points = 100. • Submissions must be a single scanned PDF (SOQ form plus any required attachments) submitted electronically by 3:30 PM April 24, 2026. • Affidavits and insurance will be required after award; electronic bond submission may be needed per Act 406.
