Description
The Bayonne Board of Education is seeking a qualified attorney or law firm to serve as its general counsel for a one‑year period, delivering a comprehensive suite of legal services to support the district’s operations, compliance, and litigation needs.
• Provide legal advice, research, and advisory opinions to the Board and its administrators.
• Represent the district in lawsuits, administrative hearings, and contract negotiations.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as contracts, board resolutions, bids, motions, and provide attendance at board meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain required certifications, professional liability insurance, and compliance with New Jersey statutes and district policies.
• Submit detailed hourly rate schedules and meet all mandatory submission requirements by the August 18, 2026 deadline.
