Guitar and String Instructor, KSB

The Kentucky School for the Blind is seeking a qualified individual or organization to provide music instruction with an emphasis in guitar and string for students at the school. The instruction must take into account the needs of the students who are blind and visually impaired. The contract is for a period of 35 weeks, with approximately 14 hours of instruction per week. The contractor will be required to provide music instruction in a group or individual setting, and must have experience working with individuals with disabilities. • The contractor must have a minimum of 3 years of experience providing string instrument instruction to multiple school-age levels. • The contractor must have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing instruction to youth with disabilities. • The contractor must have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education or a related field. • The contractor must be available to work Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm Eastern Standard Time. • The contractor must be willing to undergo a background check.
