Description
The Teacher Retirement System of Texas is seeking a compensation consultant to provide objective, third-party expertise in evaluating market data, compensation structures, and performance plans for board direct reports. The consultant will also provide advisory services and compensation expertise to board members and TRS executive management. The scope of work includes ongoing compensation advisory services, target market reviews, assessments of performance pay plan design, educational support, ad hoc services, and annual compensation reports.
• The consultant must have at least 5 years of experience providing full-service consulting expertise in compensation analysis for financial, investment, pension funds, or comparable industries.
• The consultant must have at least 5 years of experience working closely with a Board of Trustees or comparable governing entities, presenting at public meetings, and serving as a consultant for compensation benchmarking and analysis.
• The consultant must have at least 5 years of experience evaluating and developing compensation and incentive strategies for executive-level roles in large public pension, governmental, or non-profit organizations.
• The consultant will be required to submit a proposal that includes pricing, a sample work plan, and information about their key personnel.
• The evaluation process will include an initial round, a presentation and interview round, and a best and final offer round.
