Professional Cleaning Service

The Gladwin Community Schools and Beaverton Schools are seeking proposals for professional contracted cleaning services. The successful bidder will provide all labor necessary to clean all schools specified in the RFP, complying with all applicable state and federal laws, and MIOSHA and EPA standards for cleaning and maintaining public facilities. The contract is expected to begin on July 1, 2022, for a period of three years, with an option for the District(s) to extend the contract by up to two additional years. The bidder must demonstrate the ability to secure the necessary quantity of materials and equipment to perform the scope of work within their proposed start-up time. The bidder must also demonstrate the needed organizational abilities to successfully implement the transition from the current service to the new program within the proposed timeline. Some key aspects of the job include: * Providing cleaning services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as scheduled and/or needed * Maintaining a reasonable pool of trained and qualified substitutes with the required background checks * Ensuring that the District is adequately staffed in the event of illness or injury * Providing hourly pay rates and a list of benefits offered to all employees * Complying with all applicable federal and state wage and safety requirements * Having at least five years of experience cleaning a minimum of 750,000 square feet of facilities per day * Having experience providing cleaning services in public and/or private school environments * Having a project manager's/account supervisor's qualifications and experience * Having a training program for staff * Having a Hazard Communication Program * Having insurance that meets the minimum required insurance limits * Complying with all government regulations and District policies
