Description
This solicitation calls for a comprehensive, year‑round road‑maintenance contract covering roughly 210 miles of paved roads in the Chugiak‑Birchwood‑Eagle River Rural Road Service Area. The contractor must provide a full inventory of winter‑season equipment (graders, sanders, plows, snow‑blowers, steam boilers, etc.) and summer‑season equipment (water‑flusher trucks, vibratory compactors, hydro‑seeders, etc.), as well as qualified operators, mechanics, and traffic‑control personnel. Service includes snow removal, sanding, grading, steam thawing, summer resurfacing, construction‑related work, and ongoing reporting and compliance obligations.
• Provide all listed equipment (30 distinct line‑items) with operators, maintenance, and required accessories.
• Perform winter snow‑removal, sanding, and ice‑control duties from October through April, and summer maintenance and construction activities from May through September.
• Submit hourly rates (straight‑time and overtime) for each item, meet Alaska licensing and Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage requirements, and maintain detailed daily and weekly reports for the Municipality of Anchorage.
