Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, intends to negotiate a sole source contract for molecular diagnostic testing services using the ThyroSeq v3 Genomic Classifier (GC). The contract will be awarded to CYTOPATH BIOPY LAB INC, as they are the sole source provider of this test in the United States. The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHS), Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (PALMS), requires this testing service. Key aspects of the opportunity include: • The ThyroSeq v3 Genomic Classifier is a proprietary molecular assay exclusively developed, validated, and performed by CBL PATH. • The Government believes that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to meet this requirement. • Responses to this notice of intent to sole source must demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement and show that competition would be advantageous to the Government.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific amount. However, considering the sole source nature of the contract and the specialized testing service required, the budget could be substantial. Factors influencing the likely payment range include the cost of the ThyroSeq v3 Genomic Classifier testing service, the volume of tests required, and the duration of the contract. A rough estimate could be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, depending on these factors.
