McIntosh Power Plant Cooling Tower Distribution System Replacement

The City of Lakeland is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to remove and replace the cooling‑water distribution system at the McIntosh Power Plant’s eight‑cell cooling tower during a limited Spring 2027 outage window. The scope includes demolition of existing header, lateral piping and spray nozzles, supply and install of new 30‑inch FRP header, PVC laterals, ATP spray nozzles, reuse of existing supports where feasible, handling of drift eliminators, and full site safety, rigging, and temporary facilities.
