Description

The Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Welfare (CDHS) is seeking a vendor to gather feedback from youth and caregivers impacted by the intersection of child welfare and youth substance use. The primary goal of this project is to better understand their lived experiences, identify which child welfare practices and services were helpful or unhelpful, and use that information to improve child welfare policies, practices, and service delivery across the state. The selected vendor will be expected to collaborate with lived experts, collect qualitative and quantitative feedback, and generate youth and caregiver-informed recommendations to guide policy and practice improvements. Key aspects of the project include: • Collaborating with lived experts in the design and facilitation of the work • Collecting feedback from youth and caregivers through focus groups and surveys • Identifying key themes around what child welfare practices, supports, and services worked well or poorly • Generating youth and caregiver-informed recommendations to guide policy and practice improvements • Delivering a comprehensive final report outlining findings, key themes, and system-level recommendations
