Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources that can provide oncology supplies and reagents for the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System. The reagents must meet specific salient characteristics, including the ability to detect wild type and mutated genes, test DNA extracted from whole blood or bone marrow samples, and determine DNA quantity. Interested parties are encouraged to provide information on their company, including size status, manufacturing country of origin, and pricing. * The reagents must be capable of detecting the wild type (Negative) from Mutated (Positive) genes. * The reagents must be capable of testing DNA extracted from whole blood or bone marrow samples using a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) based method, or High-Resolution Melt (HRM) Analysis. * The reagents must be capable of determining DNA quantity by measuring the optical density (OD) of the sample at 260 nm. * The resultant DNA must be capable of being diluted to a concentration of 5 ng/µl in 1x TE buffer at pH 8.0. * The resultant DNA must be capable of being stored at +4 to +8°C for 1 week or at –20°C if longer term storage is required.

Budget estimate

$10,000 – $100,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as it is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a solicitation announcement. However, based on the information provided, it appears that the VA is seeking sources for a specific type of oncology reagent. The cost of these reagents can vary widely depending on the manufacturer, quantity, and other factors. A rough estimate for the cost of these reagents could be in the range of $10,000 to $100,000 or more, depending on the specific requirements and quantities needed.
