Cleaning of Sanitation Tanks

The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is conducting market research for the cleaning of sanitation tanks. The work involves cleaning and disinfecting each sewage tank, providing services to accomplish three flushes of sanitary tanks, and disposing of all waste effluent. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment and personnel to complete the work. The government will provide temporary ventilation, tool air, fresh and saltwater services, and other support as needed. • The contractor must have experience with similar work and be able to demonstrate their ability to perform the required tasks. • The contractor must provide a list of materials with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to be used on the task. • The contractor must follow all requirements and restrictions set forth in the reference documents, including those related to portable electronic devices and radiation safety. • The contractor must provide services to spray wrap all contractor-cognizant fluid-carrying system mechanical joints. • The contractor must ensure that all personnel working on the task have received the necessary training and have proof of training on their person while in NNSY.
