Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to replace the inoperable No. 6 boiler feed pump at the Lyons VA Medical Center. The contractor must remove the faulty pump, transport it for overhaul, install a rebuilt pump using laser alignment, test the system, and deliver the overhauled pump back as a spare. All work must comply with VA specifications, safety lockout/tagout procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations. The effort is limited to a single pump replacement with a performance window of 30 days after award.
• Replace No. 6 feedwater pump (Pentair Aurora Model 431B) in Boiler Plant Building 14.
• Perform lockout/tagout, removal, transport, rebuild, and laser‑aligned re‑installation.
• Conduct functional testing (pressure 200‑250 psi, no leaks, vibration limits).
• Deliver rebuilt pump as a spare with a 12‑month manufacturer warranty plus a 1‑year contractor guarantee.
• All materials must be new, meet VA specifications, and be delivered within 30 days of award.
