Description
The State of Alabama is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a full repair and overhaul of a York chiller motor at the Folsom Building in Montgomery. The scope includes lock‑out/tag‑out of the chiller, removal of the motor via chain falls and gantry, shipping the motor for overhaul (preferred vendor Jay Electric), reinstalling the rebuilt motor, laser‑aligning the shaft, re‑coupling, and providing a vibration‑analysis certificate. All work must comply with OSHA regulations, site‑specific conduct and apparel rules, and must be completed without subcontractors. The contractor must return the repaired motor within ten calendar days of pickup. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for 6 May 2026 at 9 am.
• LOTO the chiller, unbolt and remove motor using chain falls/gantry.
• Overhaul/rebuild motor (preferred vendor Jay Electric) and return within 10 calendar days.
• Reinstall motor, perform laser alignment, re‑couple, start‑up test, and deliver vibration‑analysis certification.
