Floodgate Inspections and Technical Support

The City of Sacramento is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide periodic floodgate inspections and related technical support over a four‑year term. The contractor will conduct 4‑5 field inspections per year of 18 city‑owned floodgates, produce PE‑signed inspection reports, and deliver optional technical‑assistance services such as repair design, cost estimating, manual updates, and exhibit preparation. Compensation will be on a cost‑plus‑overhead‑plus‑fee basis with a negotiated not‑to‑exceed ceiling and a separate $100 k technical‑assistance budget. The solicitation requires compliance with California prevailing‑wage rules, LBE participation (minimum 5 %), insurance, and ban‑the‑box provisions. • Perform on‑site inspections of each floodgate, document condition, and provide PE‑approved reports. • Offer engineering design, cost estimating, and manual update services as needed under the technical‑assistance budget. • Maintain strict cost‑plus accounting, submit cost proposals using the Caltrans 10‑H form, and meet all labor‑code, insurance, and LBE requirements.
