Nighttime Priest Service at Naval Medical Center San Diego

The Naval Medical Center San Diego is seeking a Roman Catholic priest to provide nighttime priest services. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Roman Catholic Priest Night-Time On-call Services. The services include providing spiritual and pastoral care to Catholic patients and their families, responding to emergencies or crises when pastoral care is appropriate, and celebrating and administering sacraments. The contractor shall work on-site at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and shall be available to provide services from 1600-0700 on weeknights and 24 hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. • The contractor shall be a valid ordained Roman Catholic priest in good standing with his diocese or religious order and endorsed by the Archdiocese for Military Services. • The contractor shall have at least 3 years of professional ministry experience, with at least 2 years of experience obtained after completion of the Master of Divinity or equivalent. • The contractor shall have a Master of Divinity from an accredited institution or the equivalent. • The contractor shall demonstrate reliability, good relational skills, and the ability to serve on an ecumenical ministry team. • The contractor shall comply with Government policies and regulations regarding identification badges, parking, and professional decorum.
