Special Inspections for Eastside Bus Transfer Facility (Rebid)

The City of Gainesville is seeking responses from qualified firms to provide Special Inspections for the Eastside Bus Transfer Facility project. The project involves standard third-party quality-control testing, including material testing and inspection for concrete, structural steel, cold-formed steel/decking, foundations, and masonry. The selected firm will be required to provide daily reports and final compliance certification. The City is looking for a firm with a minimum of 5 years of special inspection experience and demonstrated experience with municipal or transit projects. • The project requires special inspections for cast-in-place concrete, concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction, structural steel framing, steel decking, soil preparation, earthwork, and compaction testing. • The selected firm will be responsible for coordinating all required inspections and testing with the Special Inspector and testing agency. • The firm must provide safe access to the work and not cover, conceal, or proceed with subsequent work affecting areas requiring inspection until required inspections and testing have been completed and accepted. • The City reserves the right to conduct a background investigation of the selected firm, including a record check by the Gainesville Police Department. • The selected firm will be required to execute an agreement with the City in substantially the same format as found in the draft contract.
