Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide, configure, install, and support an Anatomic Pathology (AP) Specimen Tracking System across three VA pathology laboratories (St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Marion, IL). The solution must integrate with the VA Federal EHR using existing Oracle Health CareAware and Advanced Barcoding & Tracking (AB&T) drivers, support high‑volume barcode‑driven workflows, and include all necessary hardware (scanners, label printers, workstations, servers). The contractor will also deliver training, documentation, testing, and ongoing maintenance and support throughout the contract period.
• Implement end‑to‑end tracking of specimens, cassettes, and slides from accessioning to final disposition.
• Use pre‑existing Oracle Health CareAware drivers; no custom driver development required.
• Provide hardware (barcode scanners, label printers, workstations) and software licenses for the AP tracking system.
• Integrate with VA’s Federal EHR and support telepathology/digital pathology use cases.
• Deliver configuration, testing, user/technical documentation, and on‑site/virtual training for staff at all three sites.
• Offer maintenance, updates, and remote/on‑site support for the life of the contract.
