RFQ752-26-1016CS UNT Central Utility Plant

The University of North Texas System (UNTS) is seeking a Design/Build firm for the construction of a new Central Utility Plant. The project entails building a 3,000-ton initial capacity plant, scalable to 4,500 tons, to alleviate strain on the two existing Central Utility Plants. The plant will include a 2.7 MW electrical load and 20-inch supply/return lines. The project aims to restore redundancy, mitigate risks from outdated satellite chillers, and integrate via extended chilled water loops. • The project requires a Design/Build firm with experience in construction, utility, and underground projects. • The firm will be responsible for designing and constructing the plant, including all necessary major elements of the work. • The project has a HUB Subcontracting goal of 3.25%. • The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all responses and re-solicit responses. • The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the Owner.
