Back Up Water Main Repair Contractor

The City of Sterling Heights is seeking a backup water main repair contractor to provide emergency repair services on an as-needed basis. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, transportation, tools, equipment, and services necessary for the proposed repairs of various water mains, water main control valves, and distribution lines. The contract term will be from the date of award by City Council through June 30, 2026. The contractor must be able to respond to emergencies within two hours of notice by the City. • Removal and replacement of existing surfaces • Excavation, loading of material • Repair of existing water mains utilizing city-supplied repair clamps • Construction of new water pipe • Backfill as specified • Cleanup of work site The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bids.
