Sources Sought_S-280 Shelters

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the production of S-280 Shelters. The S-280 Shelter is a lightweight, mobile shelter designed for transport by various means and is used to house battlefield electrical systems requiring Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection. Interested parties are requested to provide information on their manufacturing capabilities, past performance, and supply chain logistics. The questionnaire covers company information, manufacturing capabilities, and technical data capability, with a focus on the fabrication of metallic-faced, foam core sandwich panels and the ability to meet a maximum production target of 20 S-280C/G Shelters per month. • The S-280C/G Shelter comes in shielded and unshielded versions, with and without a Mobilizer Adapter Kit. • The shelter requires a high level of shielding attenuation, with the shielded version providing 60 decibels of shielding attenuation. • The technical data package (TDP) for the S-280 Shelter is subject to export control restrictions and is only available to vendors with an active and approved DD Form 2345 on file with the Joint Certification Office. • Vendors are requested to complete a questionnaire providing information on their company, manufacturing capabilities, and past performance. • The questionnaire also asks for information on the vendor's experience with first article testing, production lead time, and production rates.
