Open Enrollment (OE) for Independent Living Services for Older Individuals who are Blind (ILS-OIB)

The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking vendors to provide Independent Living Services for Older Individuals who are Blind. The services will be provided to Vocational Rehabilitation customers served by the Texas Workforce Commission-Vocational Rehabilitation division. The vendors must meet all requirements and specifications outlined in the solicitation to be eligible to provide these services. Some key aspects of the solicitation include: • The vendor must provide Independent Living Services for Older Individuals who are Blind in all areas of the state. • The vendor must comply with all terms and conditions outlined in the solicitation, including those related to background checks, subcontracting, and record-keeping. • The vendor must provide all relevant records and information to the Texas Workforce Commission upon request. • The vendor must ensure that all employees who interact with VR customers have passed a criminal background check. The vendor will be responsible for providing services such as comprehensive assessments, independent living skills training, and assistance with daily living activities. The vendor will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting to the Texas Workforce Commission as required.
