Tammany Trace Solar Pedestrian Activation System Replacement

The St. Tammany Parish Government is seeking a contractor to replace the solar pedestrian activation system at various locations along the Tammany Trace. The system must include a LightGuard Systems XL Controller 4 RAD Automatic Pedestrian Activation system or an approved equal, with two rectangular rapid flashing beacons and two LED-illuminated pedestrian warning signs per crossing. The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing systems, installing the new systems, and performing full system testing. The contract includes a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Key aspects of the project include: • Removal of existing solar panels, batteries, controllers, beacons, signage, wiring, detection devices, and associated equipment • Installation of new solar-powered pedestrian activation systems • Testing and commissioning of the new systems • Saw cutting and conduit installation • Warranty and maintenance requirements
