Description

The City of Belmont is seeking a contractor to provide disaster debris monitoring services. The selected firm will be expected to provide technical support and guidance in selecting a debris removal contractor, coordinating daily briefings and work progress with the City, and supporting the selection and permitting of Temporary Debris Storage and Reduction Site (TDSRS) locations. The contractor will also be responsible for monitoring recovery contractor operations, assisting the City with responding to public concerns and comments, and certifying contractor vehicles for debris removal. The contractor must have experience in debris removal, solid waste and hazardous waste management, and disposal, as well as experience coordinating with Federal, State, and Local emergency agencies. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must provide an Electronic Ticketing System to generate electronic debris load tickets for each load of debris generated. • The contractor must develop daily operational reports to keep the City informed of work progress. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive review, reconciliation, and validation of debris removal contractor(s) invoices prior to submission to the City for processing. • The contractor must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection, labor standards, and equal employment opportunity.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the contract value is not specified in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the requirements for the contractor, it is likely that the contract value will be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the contractor will need to provide a team of professionals with experience in debris removal, solid waste and hazardous waste management, and disposal, as well as the necessary equipment and resources to support the City's disaster recovery efforts. The actual budget will depend on the specific requirements of the contract and the proposals submitted by the contractors.
