Annual RFP for AMI Water Meter

The San Antonio Water System is soliciting bids for the purchase of AMI water meters. The scope of work includes furnishing goods, supplies, equipment, and services as set forth in the solicitation. Bidders are required to submit their proposals electronically or by sealed bid, and the bid must be received by the specified date and time. The period of acceptance of this bid will be 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. The meters must be compatible with IP68 submergibility standards, and vendors can expect a meter to remain submerged for multiple days due to a weather event. • The bid includes three categories of meters, and suppliers can propose for one, two, or all three categories. • The price schedule has been transferred into the line items tab of the online response. • Suppliers should only provide line item pricing for the categories they are proposing. • The Itron 500W water module used by SAWS is mounted near the meter and connected to the meter using the Itron in-line connector. • SAWS typically utilizes the five-foot or 25-foot Itron in-line connector. • SAWS will consider either ultrasonic or magnetic flow water meters that satisfy the requirements in the RFP.
