Professional Construction Management Services RFP

The City of Fitchburg is seeking a professional construction management firm to provide services for the City Hall Campus Renovations. The project includes remodeling City Hall and the Community Center after the Police Facility is occupied in early 2027. The selected firm will provide construction management services, including pre-construction and construction phase services. The firm will work with the City, architect, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. • The project involves a multi-story horizontal expansion of City Hall to provide adequate space for Police and other City Hall departments. • The project requires the selected firm to have experience with municipal facility projects, including LEED certified, Net-Zero, or other sustainable design features. • The firm will be responsible for providing a resident project representative for observation during construction to ensure all work is completed in conformance with specifications, drawings, addendums, shop drawings/submittals, RFIs, field orders, and change orders. • The firm will also be responsible for developing and implementing procedures for the review and processing of applications for payment from contractors. • The City is seeking a firm with experience in construction management, cost control, and quality control, and the ability to communicate effectively with the City, architect, and other stakeholders.
