Perdido Landfill & Palafox Transfer Stations Scale Maintenance

Escambia County Waste Services is seeking a contractor for annual maintenance and repair of truck scales at the Perdido Landfill and Palafox Transfer Station. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing the scales, as well as providing emergency repair services. The contract will be for a period of 36 months, with the option to renew for two additional 12-month periods. • The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and other resources necessary to perform the work. • The contractor must comply with the Florida Weights and Measures Law and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 44. • The contractor must provide written calibration and test results for each scale serviced, as well as a written report documenting any deficiencies and recommended repairs. • The contractor must respond to emergency service requests within 24 hours of notification. • The contractor must provide a written quotation for non-emergency maintenance and repair services, including diagnosis and description of the problem, cost of replacement parts and materials, travel charges, hourly labor rates, and mobilization charges.
