Vice President of Research Search & Recruitment Firm

West Virginia University is seeking a qualified firm to provide search and recruitment services for a Vice President of Research. The selected firm will work with a Search Committee to advise and administer the search. The scope of services includes consulting with the Search Committee, supporting the development of selection criteria, conducting focus groups, identifying key issues and challenges, evaluating the competitive strengths and weaknesses of the national market, and providing market intelligence. The firm will also develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy, prepare communications and collateral materials, and provide WVU with current market trends and general salary expectations. • The search will be for a Vice President of Research to provide central administration leadership and oversight of the University’s research administration and compliance operations. • The selected firm will guarantee the placement for a period of 18 months. • The firm will provide a plan for mitigating a failed search. • The firm will maintain all documents relating to the search efforts according to the WVU retention schedule.
