THz Spectrometer

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is seeking a THz Spectrometer solution that extends from 100 GHz up to > 6 THz. The system must be a single optical system that can couple to an external laser source to meet the minimum requirements. The spectrometer will be used to measure electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz portion of the electromagnetic spectrum for the purpose of studying and developing emitters relevant to DoD communication and sensing systems. The contractor shall deliver and complete all requirements of this Statement of Work no later than 6 weeks after contract award. Key features of the required system include: • Radiometrically accurate THz spectrometer solution • Extend from 100 GHz up to > 6 THz • Single optical system that can couple to an external laser source • Measure electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz portion of the electromagnetic spectrum • Support teaching activities in a variety of AFIT's Physics and Optical engineering classes
