Prequalification for Towing Services throughout the City (re-issuance)

The City of Norfolk is seeking responsive and responsible vendors to provide towing services throughout the city on an as-needed basis. The services include city tows, vehicular accident tows, and vehicle tows from enclosed parking garages. Vendors may apply to be prequalified for one or multiple lists depending on their qualifications. The prequalification term is ongoing, and once approved, contractors will be allowed to remain on the prequalified list for an indefinite period unless they request to be removed or receive negative performance assessments. * The city has approximately 66 square miles that need towing services. * The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials to affect safe and efficient towing operations. * The contractor must be able to arrive on scene within 30 minutes of request during business hours and 45 minutes after hours on weekends and holidays. * The contractor must have a vehicle storage lot within the city that is staffed in accordance with city code requirements. * The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local statutes, ordinances, and regulations. * The contractor must maintain complete and up-to-date records of all vehicles towed.
