Compensation Consultant

The Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) is seeking a qualified compensation consulting firm to provide independent, objective compensation consulting services. The selected consultant will conduct salary compensation studies for 15 classifications, ensure compensation practices are competitive and equitable, and provide Compensation Policy support to the Board. The scope of work includes preparation of reports, findings, and other written documentation, and presentations to the Board and executive staff. The consultant will also facilitate discussions with the Retirement Board Compensation Committee on reviewing and updating the SCER Compensation Policy. • The consultant will conduct compensation studies for designated classifications, including Chief Executive Officer, General Counsel, and other senior positions. • The consultant will provide Compensation Policy support to the Board. • The consultant will facilitate discussions with the Retirement Board Compensation Committee on reviewing and updating the SCER Compensation Policy. • The term of the engagement is based upon the completion of deliverables and is not to exceed 12 months. • The consultant will be responsible for the preparation of reports, findings, and other written documentation, and presentations to the Board and executive staff.
