Sacramento Fire Department Mobile Integrated Health Program (MIH)

The City of Sacramento, Fire Department is soliciting proposals to staff the City’s Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Program unit. The program aims to provide community-based healthcare services, including medication-assisted treatment, field-based medical care, and coordination with healthcare and behavioral health systems. The City intends to hire up to eight advanced providers, including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, to work on a part-time basis. Key responsibilities include delivering medication-assisted treatment, identifying and managing high-utilizer patients, providing treatment-in-place for low-acuity conditions, and conducting medical clearance evaluations. • The program will operate four shifts of ten hours per day, Monday through Thursday, with a total of 40 hours per week or 160 hours per month. • The City desires to hire multiple Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants, with each advanced provider working a minimum of three to four shifts per month. • The proposed budget for this project is not-to-exceed $208,000. • The City intends to award multiple contracts, with the option to add subsequent contracts at a later date as necessary to meet the City's needs.
