The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to the University of Arizona for the project "Increase Public Availability of Archives". The project aims to provide an archives-focused educational work experience for archives, library, and digital information students. The students will collaborate with the Western Archeological and Conservation Center (WACC) archives staff to process, catalog, and digitize archival records, and create finding aids to provide initial public access to these collections. The project will also improve the preservation of archival records by reboxing and labeling. The skills gained through this project will enhance student employability in several diverse fields.

• The project will create finding aids to provide initial public access to the collections.
• The project will improve the preservation of archival records by reboxing and labeling.
• The project will provide an ideal hands-on forum for students to acquire diverse skills in describing and storing resource management records and creating digital copies of them.
• The project will support the National Park Service's goal of making cultural and natural resource information more available to the public.
