Description

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking to award a sole source contract to Premier Healthcare Solutions, Inc. for the HHS Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Data and Analysis Initiative. The initiative aims to improve women's health across the lifespan, including before, during, and after pregnancy, through the collection and analysis of maternal morbidity and mortality data. The contractor will be responsible for providing access to up-to-date, nationally representative, standardized health data on women and infants, as well as conducting in-depth analysis of the data to identify trends and patterns. The scope of work includes: • Identifying longitudinal trends in women's and infant-linked health outcomes • Evaluating the impact of implementing evidence-based interventions on health outcomes • Identifying pregnancy-related risks and predicting adverse outcomes • Maintaining and expanding the HHS Perinatal Improvement Collaborative (HHS PIC) • Advancing the Continuum of Health Initiative (CHI) to promote integrated, continuous care for women, infants, and children • Supporting publication of manuscripts, data briefs, and reports conveying data and analysis results to stakeholders • Guiding HHS program development, planning, and policy decisions to reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality

Budget estimate

$5,000,000 – $20,000,000

The estimated budget for this contract is likely to be in the range of $5 million to $20 million per year, considering the scope of work and the fact that it is a sole source contract. The budget will depend on the specific requirements of the contract and the level of effort required to complete the tasks. Factors that may influence the budget include the complexity of the data analysis, the number of hospitals participating in the HHS Perinatal Improvement Collaborative, and the level of support required to implement evidence-based practices and processes.
