Single Source - Natural Hair Program

The Shelby County Government is seeking a single source vendor to implement a Natural Hair Program. The program aims to teach students selected by the Shelby County Office of ReEntry in Natural Hair Styling and Care, enabling them to obtain a license to practice in the State of Tennessee. The vendor will provide three 11-week courses, hands-on training, and instruction on client management, business principles, and practices. The students should obtain state certifications, including Barbicide Certification, Tennessee Braiders Certification, and Tennessee Natural Hair Licensure. • The program should be completed by June 30, 2026. • The vendor should provide training by a Tennessee State Licensed Instructor. • The program should include hands-on training in Natural Hair Care, Braiding Techniques, and Extensions. • The vendor should instruct students on client management, business principles, and practices.
